As a company that provides vacation homes for your trips, we usually focus on how amazing Loreto Bay is. But we also know this Mexican Paradise is not the center of the universe and there are quite a few amazing destination all over the globe that everyone should visit at least once in their lifetime.
But even if you can’t go far, we’d like to quote a loved world traveler who passed away recently:
“If I’m an advocate for anything, it’s to move. As far as you can, as much as you can. Across the ocean, or simply across the river. The extent to which you can walk in someone else’s shoes or at least eat their food, it’s a plus for everybody.
Open your mind, get up off the couch, move.”
– Anthony Bourdain
These powerful words resonate with thousands of people around the world who feel inspired to travel. But is it really that important to travel? We have internet connection and can get to know pretty much any place with ease. Is the travel still worth it on this century?
Try to remember the first time you traveled more than a couple hours from home. You were probably a child and got to know some new food, new weather, maybe even a new language and a best friend with different skin tone than yours. A travel is obviously to get to know new people but also to get to know their way of life and how they find happiness on their own particular way.
Travel is indeed a learning experience. Take another kind: a backpack journey around your own country or even around the world. With nothing but a handful items and a limited budget it is indeed possible to get lost in this vast world and to experience all kinds of things not possible on the sedentary war of life.
Another reason to travel? A honeymoon. Kind of an awkward tradition to travel to a dreamy place to start off the newly wed life with that special one. It’s a trip you’ll remember for the resto of your life not only because it is a bonding and romantic experience, but because it usually sets a bar for your life as a couple… Remember when you promised to come back there every 5 or so years? Even if you can’t accomplish that, you’ll always remember the good experiences and they serve as some amazing inspiration for your daily activities.
What am I trying to say with all this? That yes, traveling indeed is an activity that must be done by everyone as often as possible and to as many different places as possible. Not matter if you’r young or old, single or married with kids, what’s your field of expertise, what you do for a living… traveling is as important today as it has ever been.
Try to spend less on things and invest more in travel. Mark off as many locations on the maps as possible and enjoy each destination. Plan ahead, save and fully enjoy every road you can. I can guarantee that, at the end of your life many years from now, you’ll be happy that you did all of this.
And when you come by Loreto Bay, we’ll be expecting you with arms wide open.
